Octave shapes are how guitarists move the same pitch across the neck without thinking in letter names every time. This trainer forces you to see all copies of a note inside a small fret window in just the same way shapes actually appear under your hand.
How to Use the Guitar Octave Trainer
Each question highlights five consecutive frets and one pitch class. Select every place that pitch appears in the window (all six strings) then submit.
Practice Tips
- Say the shape out loud (“same string +12”, “skip a string +2”, “across the B string +3”).
- Clear and re-pick if you second-guess.
- When rounds feel easy, reduce time limit.
- Desktop: Enter submits, Esc clears the selection.
